What better combination than nature, sun and electronic music! Fans and lovers of electronic music already know that the environment, the space where a set takes place is an essential component to enjoy music in all its splendor. There will be many production companies that try to capture and project a glorious scene where the stage should be the protagonist and the DJ the one who gives the sound energy to the environment. Not everyone manages to capture that wild – symphonic – electronic unity. The Basspirit team has had the pleasure of meeting a great entrepreneur like Alberto with his audiovisual production company «UNDER THE SUN». LThe key element of this project are its collaborators in the field of photography, artists and video. According to this great thinker: «I look for places of inspiration, with the support of the artists, to develop the video sets and, above all, I try to tell stories in all the filming.»

This project was born on September 27, 2015 with the idea of broadcasting a rave without people on the Internet, that is, sharing videos of DJs showing off their best techniques and songs where the main stage is nature. The idea originated in Ibiza while Alberto was talking to Lewis Treviño to record a video in a chalet on the island with sea views. As for the name of the project, they were inspired by the description of a BMX video that contained the distinguished words "UNDER THE SUN", which they would later adopt as the name of the production company. Without a doubt, the name itself describes it, "UNDER THE SUN", and that is what they really wanted to achieve, filming videos under the sun.

His first video set took place in Los Escullos (Almería) with Lewis Treviño, although it was not as good as they would have liked. They used an S4 controller, a sound card and the cam of an Apple MacBook. The result was not what was expected, not because of the place, but because of the tools and techniques used. So in the second video set, Alberto decided to buy a video camera to improve the video sets. Actually, this project started as a hobby and it continues to be a hobby. It is for all this reason that each video set is of higher quality, as far as shots, scenery and techniques are concerned.

"As long as I don't get stressed, I'll continue at my own pace and, if all goes well, I'd like to do a festival next year."

If this man manages to transmit music, nature, inspiration, harmony, light and colour in all his video sets... All in one... We have no doubt that we will attend the festival that this great thinker with a great clinical eye has in mind.

As for the promotion, they organised 3 parties, 2 of them in a 24-hour format at the Sala Chamán – Complejo sobre el mar in Los Escullos (Almería). This very charming venue built on a cliff is one of the techno symbols of this wonderful city known for the Spaghetti Western and its fantastic beaches.

Initially, Alberto only wanted to focus his project on underground electronic music. But he recognizes that it is necessary to embrace other styles and that one should not close doors. As he tells us: "The beauty of this is the people you meet." That is why UNDER THE SUN covers a variety of musical styles: House, Deep House, Techno, Techno House, ChillOut, Disco… Below we list some of the cities where he has had the opportunity to film: Almería, which is his hometown; Murcia, Alicante, Berlin, Ibiza, New York and Madrid. On the other hand, the list of DJs who have had the great opportunity to collaborate and be part of the projects of this genius of video production is long: Luna City Express, Gonçalo, Tini Gessler, MR.J, Hitch, Karlos Sense, Alvaro Sanchez, Mike Gannu, Irregular Live, Holed Coin, Dubpaper, Salvi Fernandez, Juanfra Vidal, Unknowk, Nhitto, Omaroff, Toni Maravillas, Mario Urien and Miguel Galvez, among others.

Of all his projects related, mostly to music, he is not able to choose which of them is the best of his works, because he admits that "Everyone has their charm, everyone has that something that makes them different and special." However, the best time he had was in Berlin, a city he has always loved and to which he must return. He still has places to discover, many places to visit and film under the power of UNDER THE SUN. Places like the Sahara Desert, the Forest of Romania, the Black Forest of Germany and the Venice Canal.

His latest work was Almagato in New York City. He came to this great city to visit a friend. Taking advantage of the trip and being filled with inspiration, he went straight, without any hesitation, to the Time Warp festival which, as he tells us… WAS DEADLY! Alberto took advantage of the holidays to record a video set, since the time and place required it. At first, he didn’t have the collaboration of any artist, since he didn’t know anyone in the area. Talking to a friend gave him the great idea of joining a Facebook group, where he was recommended different artists. Thanks to this route, he met Almagato, a DJ who lived in Brooklyn. Almagato asked his landlady if they could record on the roof of the building, who gave him free rein. The good energies of both concluded with the recording of a Disco music session. Alberto only had to find a rental company to purchase a turntable and two speakers, while the DJ supplied the rest. The producer from Almería was surprised, because Almagato played a different musical style than the one he was used to recording. The DJ delighted with a session, from the roots of electronic music, such as Disco, to the most current.

Fellow techno fan… Never close yourself off, experience every sound, every sensation… Because, possibly, you may be amazed by all the paths you can explore that you didn’t know existed. Investigating makes us curious and curiosity makes us great. ENLARGE YOUR MIND AND NEVER STOP SHOOT-DRAWING.
