Co-Accused Records launches new vinyl label with sounds from another galaxy

Co-Accused, long-time residents of Glasgow's prolific underground club scene, will launch their own techno and electro-focused label this spring, Co-Accused Records. Featuring a remix by Jensen Interceptor, the label's four-track release, «Psychonaut Society», is infused with the same infectious energy and techno futuristic that feeds their live shows.

 

The new EP is a reflection of the promising talent underground who have supported over the years at their club night in the Paisley Club 69, west of Glasgow. The locally-loved party, now famous across the country, has amassed an impressive roster of artists over the years. Alongside some of the most exciting emerging names, as well as established leaders of the scene such as Slam and Leftfield, Co-Accused has consistently provided a haven for dance fans. underground in the rapidly changing club scene of the city.

 

 

As the UK yearns for the return of nightlife, Co-Accused has channeled its energy in creating a record label that encapsulates what the duo describes as «sonic grooves from another galaxy»As well as gifting fans with vinyl manifestations of their famous parties, the new label is also the husband-and-wife duo's way of showcasing some of the extraordinary talent that has been bubbling beneath the surface of the country's empty dance floors.

 

The main theme, Psychonaut Society, is an electro killer that takes listeners into the depths of the dancefloor, before Australian electro pioneer Jensen Interceptor takes over the remix on the second track. With wicked drums and ominous synth work, Jensen employs his signature blend of futuristic and retro influences to inject a darker, more menacing feel to the track.

 

 

On the other hand, “Wormhole Warzone” is a sonic assault that takes listeners on a journey techno hypnotic and relentless. Psychonaut Society's fourth and final track, "Restricted Access," is a futuristic electro-funk weapon that, like the rest of the EP, has already had the full support of the Techno Baron Dave Clarke.

 

Although the live music scene is still on hold, they have recently announced a slot at Scotland's premier music celebration, the Riverside Festival, and have made the decision not to postpone the release of the label: “We don’t know when the scene will return to normal and we don’t want to wait, as we are very excited to share this EP and the sound of our label.”
