Bastet: the breakthrough Techno producer of 2021 in Spain starts his year with the EP 'Oxigen'

Fran Bastet —or simply Bastet, her official stage name— is the techno producer He is the most active producer on the scene in Spain. He ended last year as the underground scene's revelation producer with two great assets in his favor: a deep and elegant sound, and an astonishing hyperactivity when it comes to creating and releasing tracks to the market. In 2021 he signed 31 titles, some of them on labels as important as IAMT, the label of Spartacus; or Only, of Deborah deLuca.
In 2022, Bastet has started with the machinery working at full speed and this past Friday it premiered its annual chapter of launches. It is already on the street EP 'Oxigen', published by the Amsterdam-based label Airborne Black Records, is a collection of two songs produced during the worst phase of the pandemic and, perhaps for this reason, their sound radiates melancholy and a desire for freedom.
“This EP sounds at 133 bpm, a little less aggressive than what I've been producing lately. When I was working on it, we were still under curfew and the title refers to the oxygen we were lacking in those exhausting days. On the other track, 'Sometimes', I've used a less forceful bass than usual, reflecting the limitations and frustrations we were experiencing in those days.”, the artist explains.

In her record-breaking year of 2021, Bastet placed several tracks on the Top10 of Techno in Beatport With the track 'Enigma' (Orange Recordings) he reached number 1 on the Beatport Hype Top 100, the special ranking that the platform's expert curators create to highlight musical gems worth considering.
