On January 21, a packed house, vinyl records, 40,000 watts of sound and English courses celebrated the anniversary of the Madrid collective OX TECHNE

If you were at the first anniversary of the Madrid collective OX TECHNE last Saturday, which was held in one of the best venues in Madrid, the Sala Muv with 40,000w of sound power, you will know first-hand the good vibes and magic that were experienced that night.

The night was promising, because with the Techno-Merienda that the collective organized on January 15 in a more than secret location and that only a few could enjoy due to limited capacity, one could predict what would happen on that fantastic anniversary night.

At the Sunday Techno-Merienda they delighted the public with a photography exhibition by the founder of the collective, Esterne Moog, as well as an afternoon full of appetizers, vermouth, coffee and an electronic sound environment created by the residents of the collective.

As the founder already mentioned, with the name Ox Techne what they want is to fuse electronics on vinyl with art, because the term "Techné" (although it resembles the word Techno) comes from the Greek which refers to everything related to the fine arts.

The curtain of the AniversariOX, where there was not even room for a pin, was unveiled by Miguel Rivas, founder of Itaca Techno Club and Berlin Techno Club, events that take place every month in the capital. In addition to these events, Miguel Rivas has played in countries such as Germany, Holland and Finland. It was a spectacular start to the night.

The party had only just begun, giving way to the residents of the SITOLP collective, Esterne Moog and Semuta aka Lamari. Each one with their own unique and personal style, although a similar detail could be perceived in the three sets. They used the same vinyl which contained conversations in English, since the vinyl corresponded to a B2 course in that language.

If you had the opportunity to enjoy all three sets, you can be sure that your level of English has improved. You can now take the Cambridge exams…YOU HAVE A QUALIFICATION GUARANTEED!

Next, we share with you the three sets of the residents of OX TECHNE so you can tap your heels to your heart's content.

In the SITOLP set you will enjoy tracks like Cause 1 of Tensal, with which your session begins, in addition to Knock Motion by Rene Wise and Spirit Navigation of Troy.

Esterne Moog's set began with the beginning of the track Jane Mansfield Is Dead with a sampler from Eddy de Clercq where you can hear the news of the death in a traffic accident of the Hollywood actress Jane Mansfield. The album where this track appears is from VOLVO, a duo of producers from Holland. It is called Airbag, as it is a tribute to safety. It was published in 1994 on the Drive-In Productions label. You can also listen to songs like Get up by Rosati and an apotheotic ending of Iñaqui Marín – Klinischtod

On the set of Semuta aka Lamari you will be enthralled with tracks like Crush Karenn's The Mushroom, Rule by law by British Murder Boys, UVB Assassination Techniques and Talisman's Hoar

For an apotheotic finale, AntE and Cestek led us to the gates of Lucifer where the intensity of the tap dancing was extreme. After this great experience that the group had prepared for us, we had to make an appointment with the traumatologist for stiffness... GOD, WHAT A WAY TO DANCE AND SWEAT!
