Phase.ctv moves to Dabadaba in Donostia for a new edition of culture and dance next Friday, February 10, 2023

He collective Phase.ctv is moving from Madrid to the wonderful city of San Sebastian, not only to promote the project, but for 4 quite logical reasons that are of great relevance in the current panorama of the scene. Firstly, it is necessary to highlight the popular demand, as there are many young people around the country who are continually asking them to visit their cities as they feel committed to supporting everything that Phase.ctv promotes.

“They see that we are generating a movement that can make this culture grow in a healthy, organic, serious way, without interests beyond development.”

Secondly, the group claims to believe in the emerging talent of the Peninsula.

“We believe that we could fill venues without the need for international headliners, because the only thing they create here is an imbalance in the scene, in addition to the creation of a commercial bubble around something that is anti-commercial”

According to the group, their work is not a business. They are undoubtedly culture and an important factor in the generation of creative spaces. The night can be the birthplace of many artistic movements and they believe that, currently, they are witnessing the birth of a new era in this regard.

“We want to place our land in the path of the European avant-garde”

Thirdly, they try to combat commercial music and everything that comes with it. Music must have distinct styles and must be original. They admit that all of this is being lost in an era of social media where everyone wants to be a clone of someone else. That is why they reject traditional formats in order to create their own.

Lastly and fourthly, “SURVIVAL”. Unfortunately, the sector in which the collective It is clearly demonized and does not receive any kind of support from institutions. This means that they have two options: either to give themselves over to large formats where the cultural value is often lost and the atmosphere degenerates greatly; or to have a great continuity that allows them to receive small amounts of money and grow the concept that defines the collective.

Without a doubt, they are making a big investment in the club and the atmosphere that is created within it.

“This is something simple, safe and familiar. This makes the people who participate in these environments interact and makes possible what we have already mentioned about creativity in these spaces.”

Dabadaba | Donostia

Dabadaba is the leading exponent in the Basque Country in terms of clubs. Almost all the big names in national Techno have played in their booth. Above all, they focus on the diversity of sounds, as they always analyse the quality of the proposals. They do not limit themselves to any type of style, they always try to do something special and different.

They have a sound system and facilities that are carefully maintained down to the last detail. This last fact is very relevant for both promoters and clubbers, and it is undoubtedly something difficult to find. It could be said that they are positioned as one of the most important proposals in the club scene of the Iberian Peninsula.
