Madrid Flash Meeting is landing with its first edition. The event will feature a varied and balanced lineup that will thrill the audience in different locations for five nights. With the aim of creating a cross-cutting event, there will be a professional area that will provide space for different talks, round tables and workshops.
Organized by the Madrid collective phase.ctv The MFM was born as a new value proposition for the national scene promoted by and for the new generations. Madrid Flash Meeting tries to offer a complete and inclusive vision of what emerging talent is contributing to the industry; from producers, collectives, labels, DJs and performers combining local-national proposals with international invitations. It must be understood that this is something unique, for the first time in Madrid there will be a series of events dedicated to electronic music over five days in different venues and which will bring together more than 20 stamps and 40 artists.
It should be noted that this first edition will be a BETA, as it is a pilot test which arises from the initiative to give a voice to the largest number of members present in our scene. It is a project that aims to turn Madrid into an “electronic capital” within Europe in the long term.
The meeting is divided into three phases:
INVESTIGATE PHASE will take place virtually throughout the month leading up to the event. It will aim to deliver daily capsules of knowledge about the different collectives, labels and artists participating in the event. These deliveries will also share the lessons learned from organizing an event like MFM.
OBSERVE PHASE It is defined as the educational space of Madrid Flash Meeting. In this phase, different round tables, talks and workshops will be held, giving rise to dialogue and visibility of different visions within the scene.
OBSERVA PHASE will be a free space within the meeting's programming where knowledge can be obtained and shared with the aim of making the electronic culture in Madrid grows. The programme will deal with topics such as the creation of spaces, graphic identity, construction and management of a record label, management and booking, etc. All activities related to this important part of the MFM will take place at the Pipo Velasco Youth Centre from 28 April to 1 May.
DANCE PHASE refers to the five club nights that are planned at the MFM. Because the club is one of the most important factors of electronic culture, five sessions of extreme dance are proposed in different locations in the city of Madrid from April 27 to May 1. These five nights will feature renowned international artists such as Blue Hour, Yanamaste or Amulador, national DJs of extraordinary quality such as Joton, Hector Mad or Ikari or LIVE performances that break with everything established such as Irrational Language, RCP or Dan Bohler. These are just a few names because it is impossible to name the great cast of artists that will be behind the booth. You can see them all below.
