The Sense of Music

Jaleo Real, electronic music party for jaleo professionals, Saturday, May 20 in Madrid

Next Saturday, May 20, another edition of Jaleo Real will take place at the Hangar48 venue in Madrid. Three of the four artists that make up the lineup will perform their session in a vinyl.

Jaleo Real is a collective born in Madrid formed by four friends with the intention of professionalizing their passion. The most notable thing about their vision and objective within the scene is to be able to support artists and collectives that, like them, are not large companies.

“We think that there must be unity among those of us who want to make electronic music evolve as a cultural movement in a healthy and diverse way”

Jaleo Real wants to get the public to associate it with electronic music quality, which is why until now they have focused on getting top-level line-ups.

“We want to go a step further, define a sound and a style that identifies us as a party; in the same way that we have done at a graphic level where we are creating a fairly recognizable image”

The other pillar on which Jaleo Real is built has to do with what it means to be a “jaleo professional”. It is very simple and it is something that they believe everyone has understood from day one, among other things, because they move in a circle of people who really enjoy music and are able to “get excited” while respecting the rest of the people attending their events. In this sense, they can say that they are very happy and grateful for the public that attends Jaleo Real.

On this evening, Jaleo Real will feature the following artists:

CAMERASSA

Vicente Ocaña Camarasa, Valencian DJ and producer living in Madrid. Camarassa is the most personal project of this DJ, his style is marked by deep and minimalist soundscapes, seeking to engage the public and create a unique atmosphere in each of his sets.

OXNA

DJ and producer from Madrid with a long career in the booths. Oxna is his newest and most ambitious project that he is developing mainly as a resident of Jaleo Real. He is characterized by his versatility, although his sets are dominated by acid and progressive techno. For this session he will perform his vinyl session to warm up the room before the performances of R4MÉ and XNX.

R4MÉ

DJ from Madrid, founder of the Mental Noise Collective.

He became interested in electronic music and vinyl records as a child thanks to his family. Later, the legendary Van Vas club would serve to influence a young man who would dedicate his life to music from the year 2000 onwards.

His style is characterized by good musical taste, tricks, fast and perfect mixes and, above all, a very advanced level of technique. His energy is transmitted on the dance floor, which is reflected in the booth, a projection of talent and surgical precision. His selection is most surprising, combining the current and the old, creating an elegant journey loaded with a unique explosion in his mixes, influenced by the Van Vas sound and all the music of the era that this great artist lived as an audience and develops behind the decks like few others in this country. If we could define this disc jockey it would be quite complex, since there are few left with this quality of selection and execution.

XNX

The Madrid-based DJ and producer Lauren aka XNX has released his productions on labels such as Brutalism (he was the label's first reference), Rave Bullys on Dave Black's Phillia label, 2 Alcatapes from Alcarcia, Beluga Records and his album on Unsolved.

We can define his style as punk and hooligan, combined with industrial loops.
