Tension Pulse EP: Ricardo Garduno and Drucal Release New Vinyl on Loopaina Records
A New Chapter for Loopaina Records
We present the fourth vinyl release from Spanish label Loopaina Records.
Loopaina brings us a new 12" vinyl collaboration between two renowned artists in the international techno scene: Ricardo Garduno and Drucal.
Identity and Sonic Connection
Tension Pulse EP strikes the perfect balance between personal identity and sonic connection, delivering a solid and immersive experience for lovers of pure techno.
On Side A, each artist contributes an original track that accurately reflects their unique style: Ricardo Garduno offers a more introspective piece with mental pulses and immersive textures, while Drucal delivers a raw, hypnotic, groove-driven cut.
Side B ties everything together with a brilliant remix exchange: Garduno reinterprets Drucal’s track with his characteristic percussive approach, turning it into a powerful dancefloor tool, while Drucal transforms Garduno’s original into a deeper, more atmospheric journey with added rhythmic complexity.

Exclusive Interview: Ricardo Garduno and Drucal on Tension Pulse EP
Side A: The Originals
Jorge: Ricardo, your track “Memory Lost” on Side A shows that hypnotic and deep techno that defines your sound. What creative ideas or resources were key to giving it identity within this collaborative vinyl?
R. Garduno: For this track I wanted to return to my beginnings, with that hypnotic and deep techno that shaped me. I knew the label’s direction aligned with that, so I wanted to create something that would fit Loopaina Records. Over the years I’ve explored different styles, but this approach is very meaningful to me because it introduced me to the scene, and revisiting it brought me a lot of excitement.
Jorge: Drucal, your contribution on Side A, “24 Feb”, takes an introspective angle with mental textures. What was the core idea or emotion you wanted to convey?
Drucal: The central idea was to transmit a feeling of luminous nostalgia— that almost suspended moment in time when one recalls something that no longer exists, but does so with gratitude rather than sadness.
Side B: The Remix Exchange
Jorge: In this project you also crossed paths with remixes. Ricardo, what inspired you in Drucal’s track and how did you adapt it to your own rhythmic and percussive language?
R. Garduno: I really liked Drucal’s track, and the lead was key because it gave it identity. I used it as it was, only modifying a few details without losing its essence, and added my base elements in my style. I think the result worked really well, and I’m satisfied with what we achieved.
Jorge: Jorge: Drucal, in your remix of Ricardo Garduno’s track you steered the sound toward a more atmospheric and rhythmically complex territory. How did you approach deconstructing and reconstructing his piece?
Drucal: I listened to the original many times to understand not only its structure and energy, but also the emotional elements sustaining it. Ricardo works with direct, powerful energy and a captivating groove. I didn’t want to replicate that but rather translate it into a more atmospheric plane, keeping its identity while taking it somewhere else.
Collaboration and the Role of Loopaina Records
Jorge: Collaborating on a vinyl like this involves joint work and also trust in the label. Ricardo, having released on very established international imprints, what drew you to Loopaina Records, an emerging label but already gaining weight in the scene?
R. Garduno: I’ve always enjoyed working with labels that do things right. They don’t always have to be “top” labels—we all start somewhere, and doors were opened for us. When I started it was the same, and that shouldn’t change. Loopaina works with professionalism, they seek quality in everything, and the results are evident: a great record.
Jorge: And for you, Drucal, what’s the importance of this release coming out on vinyl and not only digitally?
Drucal: For me, vinyl is not just a physical medium—it’s part of the artistic statement. It gives music time, weight, and permanence in a world that tends to be ephemeral. In digital, tracks live separately in playlists or algorithms; on vinyl, each side and each groove tell a continuous story. The selection wasn’t random—everything was conceived as complementary moments in the same journey.
Beyond the Release
Jorge: Beyond the record itself, what does this collaboration mean to you both?
R. Garduno: For me it’s motivating to work with young artists who dream and work hard, especially when they do it with humility and gratitude. I’m glad to contribute and support such projects, and I’m also grateful they believe in my work.
Drucal: For me it was a profound experience. Ricardo has a solid career, but what struck me the most was his honest, unadorned approach to music. Even though we worked remotely, there was an aesthetic dialogue that defined the process and taught me a lot.
