Brazilian electronic music producer Luis Fernando grants us an interview as a paradigm of his vocation and the essence that led him to become the artist he is today.<\/h2>

At what age did you first become attracted to electronic music? What styles of electronic music did you start listening to?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

I started getting into electronic music as a teenager, when I was 14 or 15. I started getting into important electronic music artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre, LFO and classics like Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, Einst\u00fcrzende Neubauten and more\u2026 but the records that really got me into electronic music were Primal Scream\u2019s \u201cScreamadelica\u201d and Aphex Twin\u2019s \u201cSelected Ambient Works\u201d. I remember listening to it and thinking: \u201cthis is the future\u201d.<\/em><\/p>

Who are your role models?<\/strong><\/p>

My main references are IDM and other experimental music. I am fascinated by contrasts<\/a>, from the most extreme and heavy sounds like hardcore techno, industrial music, noise artists like Merzbow and even ambient music giants like Brian Eno and minimalists like PhilIp Glass and Steve Reich. I always refer to books and works and try to address themes like cyberpunk culture, entropy, politics, melancholy and anger.<\/em><\/p>

Do you know how to play an instrument? Have you ever performed or would you like to perform a live\/performance with an instrumental?<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Yes, I am guitarist<\/a> I am a trained musician and play instruments such as drums, piano, violin and trumpet. In the future I am interested in presenting a show with modular synthesizers, acoustic drums, piano or organs. But it is still a distant project, I have to work hard on the idea.<\/p>
