Analog Voltage: GEON redefines club space with Formotronic

There are records that simply sound good, and others that literally transform the space where they are played. Formotronic, the new EP by Spanish producer GEON for Cygnus Circuit Records (available since April 10th), belongs to the latter. Across four high-voltage electro cuts, GEON moves away from disposable trends to deliver a physical, dense and dark experience designed by and for vinyl.

Analog engineering in the age of algorithms

In a market saturated with digital releases forgotten within minutes, GEON chooses permanence through an uncompromising exercise in pure electro. Formotronic rejects passing trends in favor of cables, machines and the controlled dystopia we all secretly crave. From the moment the needle hits the record, raw electro takes control: deep, mechanical and so dense it almost feels tangible. The experience begins with Bass Protocol, a manifesto of dry, motor-driven electro where the bassline twists endlessly, erasing any sense of time. It is the perfect gateway into the world of Formotronic. 

Without giving the listener room to breathe, the journey continues with Blink, driven by a juicy and hypnotic melody. Then comes Distorted Halo, a mind-looping cut that traps you inside layered textures and relentless percussion. 

To close the record, GEON delivers Neural Collapse, a hypnotic and atmospheric descent that works equally well as the soundtrack to the end of a long night or the beginning of something far darker.

GEON’s evolution is undeniable. He has refined his influences into a signature sound that feels both honest and deeply technical. Meanwhile, Cygnus Circuit Records confirms itself with this second vinyl release as one of the Spanish labels worth following closely.
